The A Team... The Defence Technical Undergraduate Scheme (DTUS) is a bursary scheme run by the Defence Academy to provide engineering and technical graduates to the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and the MOD Civil Service via the Defence Engineering and Science Group (DESG) and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL). The scheme provides academic and financial support to students alongside adventurous training and sporting opportunities with the aim of promoting personal and professional development.  Starting at a remote and mountainous location in Sweden and then journeying on a mixture of fast flowing rivers and vast open lakes, we set out to keep the 'A' in Adventure! Two teams of seven set out to travel over one hundred km along the Harken over the next 6 days where we battled wind, rapids and endless bright sunshine! As well as a stunning location, the harken supplied both groups with a variety of wildlife encounters, not to mention one or two aquatic challenges too...
