A year of adventure, month by month...

Whilst January started off cold here in the UK, I enjoyed the Mediterranean sunshine delivering adventure training to 2 PARA in Cyprus...
February saw the REMEC Winter Meet in the Highlands. The Cairngorms were in good condition, and ideal for another delivery of a Winter Mountain Foundation course...
March saw me again with The Parachute Regiment, this time with 4 PARA. Mountain biking in North Wales, helping prepare the guys for an expedition to Spain later in the year...
April took me back to the Highlands of Scotland, this time delivering a kayak course for 2 Royal Gurkha Rifles. The Gurkhas were tremendous fun and took well to their new aquatic environment...
Staying in the Highlands, May saw the expeditions with Bigfoot Adventures well under way. 'Flag a Munroe' was the theme of the DofE, and we did plenty of that...
June's highlight had to be another canoeing / hiking expedition into the Central Highlands. Run by A to Z Expeditions, it was a classic with big lochs, high mountains and remote camps...
July in the Italian mountains and rivers - awesome! Assisting the Royal Engineers with biking, hiking and boating was a great experience and I look forward to going back sometime...
August's highlight saw a return to North Wales. This time in Snowdonia it was delivering a Kayak Foundation course to the ULOTC...
September and it was South Wales' rivers that hosted another Kayak Foundation course, this time to the staff of the SDW, ITG Sennybridge...
October and it was back to the Highlands, this time for a Mountain Bike Foundation course for the Royal Logistic Corp. As well as a five-day training package there was a three-day expedition at the end of it through wild country...
November was spent in the Lake District, this time with the Royal Engineers. An awesome location for canoeing, caving and hill walking...
December and it was back to Austria with the SDW, ITG Sennybridge. With a very different team of staff from last year, it was a great way to develop team cohesion through challenging activity...
