Going for Gold with A to Z Expeditions, Part Two...

Following on from their challenging practice expedition at the end of March, the teams were keen to transfer their mountain and river skills onto the open water. In March they experienced heavy snow showers on the mountains, as well travelling sixty km on the river. At Rutland Water they got an opportunity to extend this experience by sailing the catamarans. Everybody came away with a good appreciation of battling into a relentless wind, as well as a healthy respect for how fast you can travel with the wind behind you. All this training is in preparation for the Highlands in June. Watch this space...
