Going for Silver with A to Z Expeditions...

The River Nene is the tenth longest river in the United Kingdom and runs West to East from Northamptonshire to The Wash. Some ninety miles of this are navigable all the way to the sea. The river is very 'canoe friendly' and the British Waterways have catered for canoeists by putting in signage and portage points. The teams travelled some seventy kilometres in three days in preparation for their qualifying Silver DofE expedition on the Ouse later in the year. Hears what they saw...
