On the Wye with PSM Outdoors...

Mid-March saw some fine weather in South Wales, and that helped the BCU 3 Star WW Kayak Assessment course delivery go smoothly. With the River Wye at a decent level, and the sun shining, conditions were perfect. The BCU sums up the 3 Star White Water award as ''Successful performance at this level indicates that the paddler can consider themselves an intermediate white water kayak paddler, as they can now paddle on moving waters. They can do this in a competent manner as part of a led group and have the knowledge and ability to help the smooth running of a trip while being led down a section of a river with sections up to grade 2''. With myself assessing another assessor, there was lots of assessing going on!
