Leading ladies...

The end of May saw sunshine and good water levels for canoeing on the Severn. With two groups on their Duke of Edinburgh Award practice expedition, the conditions were perfect. Over three days the groups became not only proficient paddlers in that environment, but also achieved a good level of self-sufficiency. Other skills picked up were campcraft and navigation, and these will pay dividends when they return for their qualifying expedition in July. Watch this space...
