Training in the Peak District with REMEC 8000...

The Dark Peak...

The first weekend of 2013 found me in the Peak District, one of the UK's most beautiful wild places. Although it bares little resemblance to the Himilaya, it was a great venue for expedition training. Moving on fixed lines, abseiling and crevasse rescue were some of the topics covered, along with some basic mountaineering skills such as navigation, first aid and emergency procedures. A great way to start the year and a great weekend for all.
