REMEC 8000 meet at Capel Curig TC

The last wekend in October saw the REMEC (Royal Engineers Mountaineering and Exploration Club) team based in North Wales, with the aim of meeting, informing and identifying potential team members for the REMEC 8000 Expedition in Autumn 2013.

In Autumn 2013, the main party will be planning to climb Manaslu, Altitude 8,161m, and the 8th highest on the planet. Additionally, a Devolopment Team will be attempting a nearby 6000m-plus peak, as well as taking in some of the Manaslu Circut.

Although no such great heights were gained this weekend, a great day was had on a couple of fine North Wales mountains, new aquaintances were made and some names were put on the list for Nepal neaxt year.

I was very pleased to be involved in this, and am very excited about the next twelve months - thank's REMEC for a great weekend!
